Abstract
Elizabethkingia meningoseptica is a Gram-negative, multidrug-resistant bacilli that rarely causes infection in humans. However, it may get colonized in the hospital environment and can cause nosocomial infections. Infections caused by E meningoseptica are difficult to treat because of the intrinsic resistance of this bacterium to multiple antibiotics. We report a series of 4 cases of E meningoseptica meningitis from our hospital. Each case had differing risks. Early detection and timely management led to good outcomes in all.
